Major resurfacing on Gateway to Wrexham - five weeks of resurfacing work

Road users are advised of resurfacing works on the Mold Road, which will start early in October and take five weeks to complete.

The work will start on the week commencing Sunday, October 9.

The work will take place in six phases, with the first three working on the inbound lane of the road and the second three on the outbound.

The first phase of the work will cover the initial approach from the Plas Coch Roundabout towards the entrance of Wrexham Glyndwr University.

The second phase will cover the road running along the front of the university, while the third phase will run past the Racecourse Stadium and towards the entrance with Crispin Lane.

The fourth, fifth and sixth phases will see work take place on the same sections of the road, but in reverse order.

All phases will be carried out consecutively and every effort will be made to minimise the disruption to traffic with manually controlled traffic management being employed during the period of works, which will be restricted between 9.30 am and 19.30pm for the duration of the works.

Advanced signage notifying drivers of the proposed work will be visible on the A483 and other directly affected roads.

Access to all retail businesses, Wrexham Glyndwr University, Wrexham Football Club and local residences will be maintained at all times during the works
